Sara Kula is an experienced employment law attorney who provides high-quality, business-oriented guidance and strategic solutions in a cost-effective manner to employers of all sizes. In order to provide the optimal service to her clients, Sara has partnered with DelBello Donnellan Weingarten Wise & Wiederkehr LLP - a highly successful law firm in White Plains, New York with full-service capabilities.
Previously, Sara worked as in-house counsel (Employment Counsel and Assistant General Counsel) for Town Sports International (parent company of New York Sports Clubs, Philadelphia Sports Clubs, Boston Sports Clubs, and Washington Sports Clubs), a publicly-traded company with over 8,000 employees in multiple states. As the company’s first Employment Counsel, Sara created new policies and procedures to comply with federal, state and local laws. She also collaborated with her human resources and business partners to implement and enforce employment-related policies and practices that were both legally compliant and operationally efficient.
Before becoming in-house counsel, Sara worked at Littler Mendelson, P.C., one of the leading employment law firms for management clients, where she represented a wide range of clients in various industries, including retail, hospitality, manufacturing, banking and insurance.
Throughout her career, Sara has gained extensive experience in employment law, including in the areas of wage and hour, leave management and disability accommodations, discrimination and harassment, retaliation, employment agreements, performance management, workplace investigations, and other human resources best practices. As in-house counsel, Sara learned to apply her legal expertise towards effective business-oriented solutions.
Sara graduated magna cum laude from the University of Pennsylvania Law School in 2003.
